Cepea collects every day prices of arabica and robusta coffee in the domestic market. Since Sept 1996, a partnership settled between Cepea and BM&F has allowed Cepea to start to collect arabica coffee prices, aiming to offer a reliable Index to this market.

Given the increasing importance of the robusta coffee, in the international and domestic markets, Cepea started, in the first semester of 2001, to research this market and, from August 2001 on, to collect prices for that product.

The CEPEA/ESALQ Index for coffee has become a support mechanism to market players. Every month, Cepea releases reports that bring a brief market analysis, including domestic, international and future prices.
